...but easy if you don't mind breaking the law to do it; and if you plan to kill someone, why would you worry about breaking a gun law? Laws that tend to ban guns only empower the lawless. As we well know.

That is so true, if you follow the law you are helpless in some places. It goes to show that gun control does NOT work. Criminals intent on doing harm will have guns while law abiding citizens perish. This is a very sad and who cares about her name or race or religion it is a sad story that more people (ones that want to prevent self defense weapons) should and must hear. I pray for those little ones.

Exactly. Even if the victim wanted to CC, it could have been difficult if not impossible in the Bronx due to the political environment. That is why it's so darn sad. The shoulda/coulda/woulda. Poor lady.

Janq, you're correct . . . it's the world that we live in, and it's a twisted world. We all know that "Lakisha" isn't a very newsworthy name, though.

This kind of thing happens so often now that I fear for the society in general. There's a kind of depravity in this that is on par with cutting babies out of mothers, etc. Incredible.

Those kids are going to grow up permanently scarred. The only consolation is that anyone who would do this kind of thing will be either dead or in jail before long. I'm hoping he'll pull a gun on the wrong person.
