The Colt he called the Judge was handy and ready to judge.

Hope they find the other thief with a hole from the Judge.

Giving the accuracy of most media reports, I'm thinking he has a Taurus Judge loaded with .45 Long Colt.

...Wroblewski said he grabbed his gun, a .45 Colt handgun he calls “Judge”...
READ: "This guy is a wacky vigilante gun nut who named his firearm like it was a sentient crime-fighting partner; calling it "Judge" as if he carries the right to exercise that kind of authority over others."

Only people familiar with the Taurus model will know how to interpret it correctly.

Handicapped people have a great need to be armed as they are often seen as easy targets.

Congrats to Mr. Wroblewski...he made is almost as good as a "2-Fer"....
One dirtbag is dead and the other dirtbag will eventually be arrested for the death (of his buddy scumbag) during the home invasion.

The two BG probably thought they had an easy target. I always love good endings.

Tragic that things like that happen - but GLAD the GG prevailed against the BG.

Good work. However, I wouldn't have opened the door. The kind of slime who takes advantaged of the old or disabled deserves what they got.

Agreed, why do people have thought and need to open a door?

Especially if the concern for your own safety is to such a degree that you would go get a firearm first as before opening or even 'cracking open' your primary means of active security.
If I had a dime for how many storys I've read of people so called cracking open a door and/or attempting to block it with their foot, hand, furniture whatever....Only to be shocked as the doors flys open per the BG(s) attack.

Do not do this at home folks.

Talking to persons through the door is more than fine enough.
You do not have to see a persons face in order to speak to or with them. Especially that of an unannounced and unwanted stranger. :|

    Glad he survived though.
Next time either do not answer the door (I wouldn't if I were not expecting anyone) or tell dude _once_ to bug off and if they don't then well call the cops and report a possible drunk or drugged harraser.
Keep on watching TV as you wait safely in your home, while armed.

The thing that I actually thought best about this was the reaction from the mother of the attempted burglar. There wasn't any of the "My poor sweet innocent rainbow-farting unicorn of an honor student wouldn't have ever done anything like that... why did he have to be shot in cold blood?"

It was just "He had a lot of problems, and it was bound to happen eventually because of the way he lived his life. I'm glad no one else got hurt."

A good outcome for the homeowner, considering he opened the door for them in the first place. Nice landing 2/3 shots while falling out of his chair too. Apparently he only had to be 66% accurate to stop the attack.
