Bad and Good: Dead Victims and Dead Perp
New York
The holiday-season cheer of the trendy Upper West Side was shattered yesterday when a career criminal slaughtered three members of a family in their apartment -- then plunged to his death after tripping over his baggy pants.
The bloodshed began when the killer barged into the family's third floor apartment and opened fire at around 1:45 p.m., near a string of upscale shops on Amsterdam Avenue near West 83rd Street...
After fleeing empty-handed, Quinones ditched his gun, a .380-caliber semiautomatic pistol loaded with hollow-point bullets, and made a dash down a rear fire escape.
But his low-slung pants fell to his ankles, tripping him and sending him falling three stories to his death, authorities said.

Mayor Bloomberg needs to notify criminals that it is illegal to have guns so this kind violence stops. If you decide to be a drug dealer you pretty much put your entire family at risk.
Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around laws. Plato

I have many times heard there is good in everything and everybody now we know what it is relative to baggy pants and the BG was doing good by wearing them. To bad it didn't kick in a bit earlier.

Maybe Bloomberg needs to go after the clothing manufacturing company that made the pants...(like in a previous thread)...since the pants "caused" the death....stop death-dealing clothes!!

Would those be called BWB pants? (Below the WaistBand?)

IF Bloomberg would spend the time he spends on harassing legal gun owners on getting getting rid of the gangs in NYC it would be a much better place to live. I like those baggy pants that those hoods wear. If we could only coax these thugs to some high places

What a flippen moron!
Took three innocent lives and for what? Too bad he didn't survive as a quadriplegic and spend the rest of his life in prison being used for whatever the other prisoners pleased!

That's amazing. Too bad he didn't fall on his way to the apartment, 3 people would be alive. Wonder if he ditched the gun or it flew when he tripped / fell ?

Terrible about the family, but I think the perp got exactly what he deserved. I hope he had just long enough to realize how he was going to be offed by a pair of pants.

Sad and tragic indeed, but proves the .380's effectiveness

Very very sorry about appearing flippant here considering the tragedy, but that should settle the debate on .380 as an effective round.

I would think it would be a problem holding on to the gun and holding up your pants and holding on the fire escape.
Oh well; throw away the gun drop the pants and let go of the fire escape.
Sorry about the loss of the family, but the BG got just what he deserved.
To bad the family was not able to defend themselves, maybe other family members should sue New York City and the mayor for all the money in the treasury.
380 is nothing to laugh at, and with HP ammo is very very deadly.
I was wondering if the BG used one of them cheap throw away gun that you supposedly can not get to shoot more than 2 rounds with out it having problems?
