Domestic Violence situation. Two officers responded. One brother answered the door at the DV house. The 2nd brother was upstairs arming himself. He came from upstairs and fired on the two officers, critically injuring them. They returned fire and killed the 35 year old shooter.

Police sometimes get shot at when they confront violent criminals or show up to a call. It happens. However they were not ambushed in a parked car or coffee shop.

The Pierce County Sheriff's Office says the suspect, David E. Crable, was
convicted in June for displaying a weapon with the intent to intimidate. He has been
arrested multiple times for domestic violence. He was last
arrested by Pierce County Sheriff's Deputies on November 14 for DUI.
There were
multiple protection orders against him. One of those restraining orders was for his 15-year-old daughter, who was living with Crable's brother – the scene of Monday night's crime scene.

It was the guns fault right, just jumped in his hand and went off, shooting the deputies.

It is sad that two LEOs were badly injured while dealing with one of society's dirtbags. I hope that both deputies have a speedy recovery.
This guy had a history of terrorizing his family.

If it was at the brothers house, and he had guns that were available to the shooter and didn't warn the deputys ,then he should be charged as an accomplice

Agreed Duk.
Negligence as on the part of the resident and owner (firearms).
Which leads to the oft discussed item of proper storage.
Personal liability, and responsibility.
But...The story does not as current seem to read that way.
Possibly the shooter had brought on site a firearm with him as on his person. Of course an unlawful act considering his DV legal status but not far from possibility.

Something must be wrong with this story... he was a convicted felon, so the LAW said he could not have access to guns. Perhaps there was another shooter, cause for sure no one would gain access to a gun if the law said they couldn't, right?
Just wait, though. This will only fuel more rage in the antis desire to get rid of all guns.
On a more serious note, it sounds like one of the officers is doing a little better in Tacoma, while the one at Harborview is still in critical, from the news I heard early this AM.

You are probably right. There are some among us that are so stupid that they have not figured out that criminals could care less about laws.

You are probably right. This will definitly fuel the liberals push for an assault weapons ban that they are trying to push. The media will clearly report that it is believed that he used an "assault style" weapon and an evil semi-automatic.

My thoughts and prayers go out for the deputies, their families, and their department. I hope there is a quick and full recovery for these men.

I still haven't heard any info on what type of gun he used. A recent interview stated that the suspect had a gun tucked "under his shirt and coat."
I am very anxious to learn what type of weapon was used in this shooting.
And if it indeed was an assault rifle; this dirtbag, redneck, inbred hillbilly, goat-humping piece of scum just added about 25 gallons of gasoline to this BS fire already raging regarding banning of semi-auto weapons!
