RIP deputy, I thought that if you are charged with any Domestic Disturbance charge, It is grounds for losing all of you firearms, forever, The police should of conferscated all of his guns, right after the first domestic call & not told the family to put them in the safe where he still had access to them, Thus a sad ending, plus the guy was drunk also.

Sad. Yet another instance unfortunately showing why domestic disturbances are one of the most dangerous calls a LEO receives..

The offending scumbag won't be bothering anyone again. I hate that it cost us an officer, though.

The libs up here are already scrambling to capitalize on these LEO deaths with another push for gun control legislation (mandatory registration and background checks on all sales). What is it they say? Never let a crisis go to waste?

It depends on the state, but in most states, you lose your gun rights only if you are the recipient of a domestic violence injunction.

Its been a really tough year for WA LEOs. RIP

"Mundell's death marks the sixth area law enforcement officer killed in the line of duty in two months."

A sad chain of events. At least he was able to return fire and kill the assailant.

    May Deputy Mundell RIP.

And his family find comfort with his dedicated duty to his community during this tragic time.
May we never forget those in uniform who protect us night and day in lands far away. And those in all wars who paid the supreme sacrifice in defense of our country. May God Bless our Troops and First Responders.
