Latest story update I saw, said both were by his truck... I don't really think there will be any problem for the homeowner on this one... He was justified in using deadly force to protect his property. Even if she's driving the getaway car, she's just as guilty as the guy, in TX...
I'm just wondering how he shot himself in the foot...

Never shoot yourself in the foot while protecting your property, your friends will make fun of you. In TX do you need to know a secret hand shake or something before you can watch the news? Criminals can't be that stupid. Criminals, do yourself a favor and move to L.A., or NYC or some gun free zone. Give yourself an edge.

Life of crime just does not pay.
Love Texas Castle Doctrine Laws.
What firearm did the homeowner use to defend his property and shot himself in foot with?

Actually, I would recommend Chicago over L.A., California has state preemption, it's perfectly legal to own a shotgun, rifle or handgun in Los Angeles.
