Disabled Man Stops Home Invasion with 3 Gun Shots
    Gun Rights Roundup
    by Buckeye Firearms Association

Gary Wroblewski is confined to a wheelchair and therefore an easy target for criminals. His physical limitations and lack of mobility are the type of weakness that cowards look for in an easy mark. But, Mr. Wroblewski is anything but a helpless victim.

That's because he exercises his natural right to bear arms, which may have saved his life on December 15th when thugs attacked him inside his home in Ocala, Florida.

In a premeditated act of crime, three young hoodlums forced their way into Wroblewski's home, knocking over Wroblewski in his wheelchair. On his way down, he fired three shots, fatally wounding one of the men and scaring off the other two.

If the anti-gun crusaders in America had their way, instead of a .45 in his hand to ward off his attackers, Mr. Wroblewski would have had nothing but a telephone to feebly dial 911, perhaps after he had been beaten. Or worse, the police may have had one more brutal murder to investigate that night.

The Founders knew what they were doing when they wrote the Second Amendment. And it had nothing to do with target shooting or sport. Our liberty is predicated on feeling secure in our own homes and having the ability to protect ourselves. Without that, the American experiment is a failure.

    AC,

There was a discussion on this dating back to when the incident occurred.

I've long said that the 2A is not just for those who hunt or have concern toward tyranny of govt.
As well the 2A enables those of us who are not in excellent physical shape and of sprightly age to stand up as against those criminals who are. Even as in this specific case the victim was and is unable to stand.

You never see these "successful defense with a firearm by an otherwise defenseless victim" stories run all over the national news. Only the "crazed killer mowing down innocent victims with a gun" stories. The media only reports what they want the way they want. Like the old media saying goes: Good news is no news and bad news must be sensationalized. I'd like to see at least one national news organization run one of these good news stories once in a while. What a shame.

I know one guy in a wheel chair who has a 'holder' on this wheel chair for his short double barrel shotgun (when at home) and has a .45 semi-auto next to his leg . I would pity anyone who was dumb enough to attack him, let alone in his house.

    That's a fairly well-written piece, there.

It's titled correctly. None of this crap about "Man kills youth at home in XYZ city." Instead, it's "Disabled man stops home invasion."

It's described reasonably. None of this crap about the poor, pathetic, uneducated and underfed youths who didn't have a choice because of an abusive childhood and bad DVD video options at home. Instead, it's "In a premeditated act of crime, three young hoodlums forced their way into Wroblewski's home, knocking over Wroblewski in his wheelchair. On his way down, he fired three shots, fatally wounding one of the men and scaring off the other two.."

Kudos to the author. Of course, this is on the web site of a 2A related group, not published by a faithless newspaper that no longer supports the ideals that made the U.S.A. a great nation of free citizens in free states. Still, good article.

I hope the little cretins get caught and charged with first-degree murder, as their planned felony actions resulted in the death of someone. May the D.A. have the integrity to do just that. Screw how many bad days they had as poor, disgruntled youths. May they spend a few ugly days in jail before they're hung for their crimes.

Well, let's review that question after 10yrs of coughing up for the bill of housing and feeding their sorry butts. WE pay, in the end. The only cost-effective handling was with Felon #3, currently toes-up in his family cemetery.

Holt ... is charged with second-degree murder and attempted home invasion robbery.

Ruben Gonzalez ... also has been charged with second-degree murder and attempted home invasion robbery.
May they truly enjoy being someone's Friday Night "girl," in prison. May they never do another citizen harm (though I doubt that'll be enough, for either).

I understand and I agree, a dirtnap would have been the best for all concerned.
