Teenager arrested in shooting

HUNTINGTON, WV -- City police charged a 17-year-old boy in connection with a late night shooting, according to an incident report filed at the Huntington Police Department.
The shooting occurred about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 1300 block of Charleston Avenue in the city's Fairfield West neighborhood.
The 18-year-old shooting victim was reportedly bleeding from his left leg when police arrived on scene, the report states. Dispatchers said one person was taken to an area hospital.
The suspect was charged with felony wanton endangerment and receiving/transferring stolen property, according to the report.
The Huntington Police Department recovered a shotgun believed to have been used in the shooting, the report states. Authorities found a spent shotgun shell in the chamber.
Other items confiscated, according to the report, were two cell phones, a ballistic vest, a shoe box, digital scales and five .45 caliber rounds.
