Victim Shoots Suspects In Car Wash Robbery
KANSAS CITY, Kan. - A man at a car wash at 27th and Merriam Lane Friday morning shot two men who tried to rob him while he was washing his car. Police said two armed men in their 20s approached the victim and after taking his wallet, tried to take his car. The victim shot both men, and one has life-threatening injuries.

Both suspects were arrested and taken to the hospital. The second suspect was shot in the arm and did not have life-threatening injuries. That suspect was found in a car at 42nd and Shawnee with another person. That person was also taken in for questioning.

My wife works with the neighbor of the guy that did the shooting. He has a concealed permit and I'm guessing that the bad guys are wishing they had chosen a different victim.

    A vivid reminder here...

to practice, practice, practice. I like that the victim/shooter name is not included in the report. It should always be so!

I do too! Score one for the good guys!

If my wife's information is accurate, the would be robbers had a .22 and the car wash guy had a .45

    This is the dialog.

"Gun? Gun? You call that a gun?"
Pulls .45. "Now this is a gun."

It's been said by others here in their signature lines and I'll Quote them,

When a predator selects the "wrong" victim, and the tables get turned, we call that, "An acute failure of the victim selection process."

Did ya'all notice how they referred to one of the BG's who were shot ..... as "the victim".

No biased reporting there , huh. I don't think the BG was a victim !

Where do you read that? I only see the car washer being referred to as the victim.
