A teeneager shot while attempting to rob an individual on the 2700 Block of Merriam Lane has died.

Deangelo Graham, 16, was shot while committing an aggravated robbery at the car wash on Jan. 15. He died as a result of the gun shot wound. He was one of multiple suspects involved the robbery.

Graham was a Kansas City, Mo., resident.

The Kansas City, Kan., Police Department's Robbery Unit and Major Case Unit is still encouraging anyone with information on the incident to call (913) 573-6070 or the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-8477.

I'm good with it as is..... If the punk was involved in an aggravated robbery, he got what he deserved.

I have no sympathy for the dirtbags of society. Once they reach the age of mid teens and decide to take the path of crime, they should be treated as any other scumbag. A teenage criminal is just a future adult thug with the training wheels removed.

Well, he's not so eager now, it seems. Adult crime ... adult response. Just as it should be.

Condolences to the families involved. Dead man Johnnie desperately needed to learn to play well with others, and to learn that he had no right whatsoever to inflict such actions on others in such a way. Johnnie is now dead. Too late, for him (and I'm assuming the body used to be male). Too late to learn that simple lesson that even five year old children appreciate. Perhaps his buddies can learn from his stupidity before they harm anyone else. If not, then may they meet another "brick wall" refusal to accept their brand of "civility."

Kudos to whomever trained the upstanding citizen in mindset, defensive weaponry. Kudos, indeed.

Sounds like a good ending to me. I doubt that the thug was selling Girl Scout Cookies...
