Saw a guy breaking into cars at Home Depot today. Called 911 and gave a description. Police arrived and when I was showing an officer one of the cars he entered there he was lying on the back seat. His expression was priceless. This will probably cost me a day in court but it was worth it!
Situation did not warrant drawing the Glock 23.

That's great! Always good to have a happy ending. Worth a day in court in my opinion as well.

What's with Home Depot parking lots??? I saw the same thing at a HD in CA a few years ago. Security or just an employee was out front, so I told him about it and he went to "investigate". Don't know what happened, don't really care. This is why I don't leave anything valuable in cars, especially in view.

Needed poetic license
Yes, 911 calls are free but I needed a little poetic license to make it sound like that Mastercard commcercial. My employer said if I go to cout he won't
ding me a vacation day. Plug, Provident Construction, Denver, Colorado.

Good work. Here in POLK county Florida the officer would arrest the person for breaking in to the car and book him in to the county jail. The SAO's office would read the report and down grade the charge to sleeping in public. The Public Offenders Office would plead that the BG was cold and needed a warm place here in Florida to sleep and would ask that for the public good the BG should be issued warm clothing, a meal and 15 dollars to get him back on his feet. The SAO would counter that the clothing and food was enough and drop the charges and order the BG freed from jail ASAP. All this would happen while the poor officer was still trying to get his report approved. What a system.
