BAD-Police: Woman shoots at hubby over tax return cash
PINE LAWN, Mo. (AP) -- A suburban St. Louis woman has been arrested after police said she shot at her husband when he refused to give her some of their tax return money. Pine Lawn police said the unidentified woman was being held on a $75,000 cash-only bond on suspicion of first-degree assault and armed criminal action. It was not immediately known whether she had an attorney.
Police said she followed her husband to work Saturday morning at a barber shop and fired when he refused to turn over any money. The bullets missed the husband.
Investigators said the woman then went to St. Louis and threw the gun in a sewer. She turned herself in after police contacted her.
Pine Lawn Assistant Police Chief Daniel O'Conner said the woman felt "more than justified" about the shooting.

Felt justified about the shooting, eh?
Then she should feel more than justified when she goes to jail.

... shot at her husband ... held on a $75,000 cash-only bond on suspicion of first-degree assault and armed criminal action.
Hm. She plans it, stalks him, then attempts to erase his life, yet she's not charged with attempted murder? I guess it's a matter of aim, then. Good aim = attempted murder; bad aim = first degree assault, only.
Ret's take seems perfectly appropriate. Since she felt justified to shoot, she'll understand our justification to imprison her.

This is why I buy something for my girlfriend every month and to things on tax return day. (not including great meal at her favorite places) I dont want to be stabbed or shot at while I sleep.

You just can't make this stuff up.
I sure hope this wasn't Grady's wife.

Nothing that comes out of Pine Lawn surprises me any more.

Nope, not her since it required touching a weapon.
(And also because the guy survived.

Of course she feels "more than justified". In our entitlement based society people must be given everything they want.

She honors the "death by gunfire" gods? She might get it herself, if she keeps on the path she has taken.
The less I see criminals giving a thought to what they do and the extraordinary damage they cause, the more I wonder whether "Old Testament" methods would be more appropriate and effective. It might well come to that ... sooner than we think.

Brings a whole new meaning to the phrase, (Death and Taxes).
If I was the husband, I'd tell her I'm not gonna use any of the refund money to help her either.

That was nuts! Fortunately, she had obviously not spent too many hours at the local range
