Memorial Day Road Trip.
Our wedding anniversary is on the 31st (9 years) so my wife Phyllis and I always try to take at least a mini vacation over the Memorial Day weekend to celebrate. This year we're heading to Tunica, MS for a little gambling and Memphis BBQ. Reciprocity with MS means the Mil-spec will be riding in its Max-Con V until we arrive and check in at the hotel - can't carry in the casino but I'm glad I can at least carry during the drive.
Anything I win at gambling will, of course, go to feed the guns and leather addiction . I'll be happy if I win enough to pay off the Commander early. Wouldn't it be a hoot if I won enough for a Nighthawk or Ed Brown?!
Just wanted to wish all of you a safe and happy Memorial Day. To all of you who've served, no matter where or how, you have my sincere thanks.

Have a great day Jack - and like you I salute and remember the fallen and those serving right now. They are due our deepest thanks.
I also think we must give due remembrance to the families of the fallen - folks who have suffered loss and are still in pain.
I have spent last two days flying and pretty much plan some rest today - tho will be out on the bike at least once.

Well, I won about $600 at the craps table so it covered the room, cost of the trip and we got a few comp'ed meals out of it too. We're planning on going back this Fall so I'll get another chance at an EB Executive Carry.
We blew out a tire in the middle of nowhere on the drive down so I finally got a chance to try out that floor jack I'd bought for my wife's car - works like a charm and it's probably one of the best tools I've bought (got another one in the back of my truck). I'd like to kick the guy's butt who invented that donut spare tire though, had to backtrack about 90 miles at 60mph to hit a Sears and get two new Goodyear Eagles - hey, I even won enough to cover that too. Overall, not a bad trip. Next time I'll skip the machines all together and head straight for the craps table.
