I played trombone for about 8 years. Now just play once or twice a year for special music at church. Spent 3 or 4 years as a bass guitarist in a praise band. Played sax for about 4 years too.

I can not carry a note/tune if it was in a bag. I understand that I can not sing and I would never try out for American Idol. I love the people who think they can sing but can not. Somebody in their family was got to say. "You can not sing" do not try out. I hate the ones who know they can not sing but are looking for 5 minutes of fame.

I play low brass (euphonium). Have played in drum and bugle corps (Blue Knights) and through college, then on to worship and community bands. My wife is the one who can brag though - she plays, at last count, 28 instruments! Yeah, she's a band teacher for a middle school.

I'm also a professional piano technician. Does that count? (can't play piano, just tune and repair them)
