Saw something like in at the Sema show in Vegas. Cool stuff.

I wonder what kind of tolerances that 3D scanner can hold. I've worked with some larger laser scanners that can measure a contour within .002in or so, depending on distance to the part, but for a small, inexpensive scanner like the one shown in the vid, who knows. Might make a difference if you're fabricating tight tolerance parts.
