Practice is the art of repetition. The term distinguishes them from amateurs who might only dabble in medicine on the side.

Mice are more of a cat toy than food. It would be like a plastic flavored cereal.

The flight recorder is not indestructible, just very durable. This has as much to do with it's design as the materials. An airplane constructed in that manner would not fly.
