    Help me find a video?

OK I have resorted to begging for help here...

I have searched for this video for a month and haven't found it! I remember the video but not the name or where I watched it. I think it was youtube but it was so long ago I couldn't be sure. The video goes something like this....

There is a man shooting a big caliber rifle from the tailgate of his pickup truck. The rifle is a single shot with a muzzle brake and I think it may have been an armalite but again can't be sure. Anywho he gets a sight picture but doesn't notice the muzzle brake is right next to his tail light.... he takes a shot and the tail light explodes! Funny part is he didn't notice as he unlocked the bolt, pulled it rearward ejecting the spent shell and placed another into the chamber.... he fired 1 more then the video cutts off there.

At the time it was one of the funniest things I ever saw and I know I bookmarked it but when my computer blew up I guess I lost it. For all you vid heads can y'all help me out?

    Appreciate it!

Thats great thanks for finding that! Isn't the one I remember though, The guy was solo filming and he was firing off to the right on the video. The rifle was a bolt action single shot rifle.

Collecting these videos would be great though I never though there would be more then one like that

    That is funny !

That is so like something that my dad would do (about the same age too). He's at a point in life where he feels like he can play the 'crazy ol geezer' thing and get away with whatever he wants to (and he pretty much does).

I watched my dad try to site in a 7mm mag over the hood of the truck. Left some interesting burn marks in the paint! Sometimes you just don't think it all the way through.

Great video and I can truly relate. At the risk of public ridicule and my apologies for the temporary thread hijack, here's my story.

It was 1982 and I was 15 and deer hunting for the first time by myself. I had shown responsibility in the past and was now blessed by the family to go at it alone. I was staying with my sister and her now ex-husband at their trailer which adjoined Corps land by the lake. Yes, they lived WAY back in the country! Walking back to the trailer to eat lunch, I saw a squirrel about 50 yards away on the ground so I decided to see what a .270 would do to a bushytail. I pulled up and took an offhand shot and missed bigger than day. Knowing my marksmanship abilities that I had so carefully honed over the years, I just knew the scope had to be off as it couldn't be any other reason.

I get back to the trailer and set a milk jug up roughly 100 yards away through an opening in the timber. I rest my trusty FN .270 across the trunk of the car and squeeze off the first shot. The gun goes BOOM and I settle back in after the recoil but the milk jug is still standing. I aim really careful this time with the gun resting firmly on the trunk of the car and squeeze off another round. The gun goes BOOM and I settle back in after the recoil, looking through the scope and that milk jug is STILL standing! But this time, I notice what appears to be smoke floating in front of the scope. I raise my head up and notice I had blown a six inch long hole through the metal between the trunk and back glass with two holes coming out of the rear quarter panel of what only moments earlier had been a pristine Datsun B210! The two holes in the quarter panel were close together so it was a good grouping but at 15, I figured now would not be the time to brag about my exceptional marksmanship especially if I wanted to see 16.

Now I'm scared! I'm trying to think of every lie in the book to get my ass out of this with the least amount of collateral damage to my behind. After all, I had shown responsibility to get to the point of where I was so I had to lie...it was the only way out. Well, after a solid 30 minutes of conjuring every scenario in my mind, I came to the realization that you just can't hide two bullet holes in a car so I went into the trailer to man up and confess.

I go in the trailer and I'm just sitting there, working up the courage. My sister can tell something is bothering me so she asks me what's wrong. Meekly, I say "I did something really bad". She looks at me with concern and fear in her eyes and asks "Did you shoot one of the dogs?” I thought that maybe this won't be so bad after all and I reply with "No. I shot the car". I was wrong. In a voice that could summon the Hounds of Hell, she screamed "YOU DID WHAT!!!" Now this was my first experience with a pregnant woman...one that would forever be burned into my mind and would help me survive the two pregnancies of my first wife. I had no idea what mood swings were but I definitely witnessed something extraordinary that day. Still wanting to see my 16th birthday, I decided in order of self-preservation that I should go spend a couple of days with my Grandma who didn't live too far away. Grandma, being the good cook that she was, would provide me with the proper last meal while I waited for Mom & Dad to come down to kill me.

Surprisingly enough, everything worked out well. My now ex brother-in-law (one of those good ol' country boys) laughed about it as did my parents and they spared no expense at ribbing me. I'll take that over death any day. I think that it really helped that my parents hated George so I imagine deep down they enjoyed me shooting his car hence the stay of execution. I did have to pay for the deductible to get the car fixed and I remember going to the body shop with my sister to get an estimate. The body shop guy looks at it and with disbelief asks "Dem dar bullet holes?!" with a twang to his voice. I just kind of hung my head and in fluent redneck so he would understand, said "Yup".

My dad burned his hood shooting on it too! We should introduce them to each other, maybe matching hoods to burn...
