How's this for a defensive senario; Tiger on the loose
AVONDALE – Cincinnati police, fire and animal rescue officers are looking for a large white cat reported seen in the area by residents.
Authorities staged at the Phoenix Community Learning Center in the 500 block of Glenwood Avenue, where they had reports that the animal had run.
Firefighters on a fire ladder poked at a large wooden box in the school's courtyard. Officers had their guns drawn. The Hamilton County SPCA and officials from the Cincinnati Zoo were present. Nothing was found and the search ended there at about 9:15 a.m.
Police first got reports early this morning of a large white cat running around. Police contacted officials at the Cincinnati Zoo about 7:15 a.m. Zoo officials told police they were not missing any animals.

For those who don't know, Avondale is a rough, urban neighborhood inside Cincinnati city limits. Also interesting, that is where the well known Cincinnati Zoo is, including its world renowned white bengal tiger program.
I just got off the phone with a buddy who is a CPD officer. They have brought him in on O/T along with a few others to go hunting this afternoon.

My wife works over that way. I called and told to watch out for giant white cats. She said I have started the party a little early today.

Normally, I'd agree with your wife. But multiple independent witnesses in different but nearby locations lends a little more creditability to the story.
If it was just the one toothless typical news interview, I wouldn't give it much thought. But, there are several witnesses who sound credible and reasonably intelligent.
And FWIW, this white cat prefers to stay out of that neighborhood.

If the loose "Tiger" is carrying a golf club...
a tranquilizer with a little saltpeter should be sufficient in bringing him down.

The local news is now saying its a white lion... besides the cheesy 80's band, is there even such a thing as a white lion?

Yes. On a recent trip to Africa I saw a small pride. They are not snow white but definatly lighter in color than other lions.

Well, I guess you could have come up to Cincinnati and saved yourself a whole bunch of money.

Makes for an interesting defensive scenario. Any handgun one is likely to be carrying for CCW is just going to make it really mad......

Blame it on Sixto - now that is a viable plan.

I was probably safer in the caged safari jeep than wandering around up there in the area you mentioned. Come thru that area on the way to Kings Island and visiting the zoo. LOL

If I see either a tiger or lion coming at me, regardless of their color, I'm going to use what I have even if it makes him mad. I don't plan on being lunch.

Here's an appropriate "training" video, be sure and bring a good 9mm pistol.

Well I get it. Funny stuff. The things you can get from bat droppings.
I prefer to live dangerously free than safely caged!
