    All fun and games until somebody gets dead

    Man's life trashed in waste-bin race
    By TIM PERONE

    Australian man died yesterday after the wheeled-garbage can he was riding in a downhill race crashed into a tree.
    The victim, 22, climbed into the trash can with a 19-year-old pal to roll down a slope in New South Wales, authorities said.
    But on their way down, they hit a gutter and smacked into a tree. The 22-year-old suffered massive head injuries and died at a hospital.
    His friend broke his ribs and suffered other internal injuries.
    A third pal escaped injury.

    Those crazy Aussies.... I am wondering of what part of rolling down hill in a garbage can they thought was a good idea?

    What ever happened to sledding down a muddy hill with snow shovels?
    There is something about firing 4,200 thirty millimeter rounds/min that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

    I have to wonder if this is a guy on another forum I know... He's about that age and once modified a shopping cart for downhill riding. He put a wire cage over the top and padded the inside with quilts.
