An Obama mobile is a reference to the bail out that GM and Chrysler took.

I was looking at Tahoe's and Silverado's this winter, but I couldn't bring myself to buy anything from Government Motors. So, I'll stick with my 06 Jeep. Its paid for anyway.

Well as much as people didnt want to give the BIG car companies bailout money...their collapse would have caused a ripple effect in our economy that we may have not made it back from. While I can see some sticking to your principles and not buying from them, because Obeyme is involved/attached whatever, will only hurt us in the long run. Plus I get Wholesale since my grand pappy retired from there. LOL

I have a 05 Dodge Quad Cab 5.7 Hemi. I like the truck but thanks to Dodge corporate customer service I will never buy another one. I was without my truck for 4 weeks.

I'm not an expert on trucks but if I ever do purchase one again it will be a Ford. The photo below will explain my reason. I walked away from that. When they say built Ford tuff, they mean it.

It rolled 3 1/2 times at 70 MPH.

I own three Chevy trucks, 3500, 2500 and 1500. All 4x4's. Owned Chevy's all my life. I'll probably be buying something else next. GM burned the bridge with me with the bail out.

You should buy what you need.

If you need a "truck" then buy a real truck. Imported trucks look nice and run well but they aren't real trucks.

A real truck doesn't have leather bucket seats, custom wood trim, 99 CD stack CD player with hypersound boom box speakers, a V6 engine wit "custom exhaust," yada yada yada...

    Ford is a real truck.
    GMC/Chevy is a real truck.
    Dodge is a real truck.
    Mercedes is a real truck.

Lincoln, Cadillac, Toyota, Honda are NOT real trucks. Neither is a Hummer beyond the H1. These are all TOYS that look like trucks on the outside but have no real guts on the inside.

IMO if you are even considering an imported pickup you aren't looking for a truck. You're looking for a car with a big trunk.

Mercedes is a TRUCK. Google it. Most people only think of Mercedes' as cars but they are a TRUCK manufacturer.

    Imported PICKUPS are not "trucks."

Thus, even though Mercedes made the "truck" list, Mercedes isn't an imported PICKUP.

Apparently you have a problem not only with civil discourse, but with clearly expressing yourself in writing. You included Mercedes with the list of other manufacturers that make pickup trucks. You did not differentiate Mercedes from the other ones in that list to indicate that you were not talking about pickup trucks when speaking of Mercedes. Not to mention the fact that the conversation was about pickup trucks.

I am well aware of the fact that Mercedes makes trucks (as I believe most people are that know anything about trucks). I am also well aware of the fact that Mercedes has made pickup trucks throughout their history. Google it.

Not to mention the fact that you are just flat wrong about imported pickup trucks not being real trucks. Toyota and Nissan definitely make real trucks.

I tried the ford route once.
One night I was at a friends playing cards and it decided to Spontaneous combust

So I went back to Chevy and still think it's a better truck...To each his own

I drive a Chevy personally but at work we have Chevys and a couple Fords that with body mods make them over 13,000 lbs. GVW. Been impressed with both but I would personally still take the Chevy.
