    Some crazy DC statistics

I was looking over some statistics in the back room, and noticed some distinct mathematical patterns in our memberships, posts and replies to such posts. I think these findings also translate into our "real" everyday lives and indicate who is the best of the best forum on the net. I'd thought I'd share what I've found.

    It does involve a little math to be done on the individual members part, but its worth it. First, I've noticed the the best post of a thread is usually made between posts 1-9. So that is where we will begin;

    1) Pick your favorite post number between 1-9
    2) Multiply by 3
    3) Add 3
    4) Multiply by 3, again
    5) You should now have a 2 or 3 digit number....
    6) Add the digits together

    Now, scroll down.

Now, members listed were selected from recent active threads. I can add anybody to the list you want, so don't feel slighted in anyway.

With that number, see who is the coolest cat from the list below:

    1. Bumper
    2. JD
    3. Paco
    4. Lima
    5. Retsupt99
    6. Rstickle
    7. Pgrass101
    8. Coppernight
    9. SIXTO
    10. Rocky
    11. Jang
    12. HotGuns
    13.JoninNY

Scary, isn't it? But, numbers don't lie.

Note to mods, I'm pretty sure this should be a sticky and required reading for all members.

It all boils down to the magic number 9.

Any number multiplied by nine will yield a number whose individual digits can be added up in any fashion to create another number whose digits can be added in any fashion etc. You will always end up with NINE..

"1) Pick your favorite post number between 1-9
    2) Multiply by 3
    3) Add 3
    4) Multiply by 3, again"
is in effect creating a multiple of nine.

    2 X 9 = 18 leading to 1+8 =9

    Now for a larger number,

    3478 X 9 = (31302) leading to 3 + 1 + 3 + 0 + 2 = 9

    or 33 + 102 = 135 leading to 1 + 3 + 5 = 9

    or 33 + 1 + 0 + 2 = 36 leading to 3 + 6 = 9

    or 3102 + 3 = 3105 leading to 3 + 1 + 0 + 5 = 9

or on and on ad infinitum.... scary isn't it?????

I'm sorry, but I do feel slighted that I'm not on that list.
