Nope - no need to advertise.

No gain, many potential negatives, IMHO.

No way. That is just asking for trouble.

It's also asking for a prosecutor in a home defense case to grill and portray you as a gun nut who was just waiting for someone to come along so you could shoot them.

    I sure wouldn't, it's a clever sign though.

It's a great sign, but I wouldn't put it in my front lawn.

In my daily activity (real estate appraisal for a county assessor) I have seen signs very similar to that. I just ignore them even though they are there for the shock value.

They may or may not deter the person who is willing to break into a house under any circumstances.

Criminals seldom look at signs. How many places have we seen that were the site of shootings with the "No Firearms Allowed" sign posted quite visibly? That sign did nothing to thwart a determined criminal.

Yeah, for the reasons stated above, I wouldn't out it out either, just seems like an invitation to a lot of trouble/hassle, even if just from neighbors.

Plus, as stated above, why advertise?

I suppose it would depend on the context of the environment. In a subdivision; No. I am 'gray man' and try to keep it that way. On a rural farm surrounded by a lot of nothing; Yes.

No way. A sign like that just invites trouble.

If a BG wants to break into my home, and makes it past the alarm and the dog, too bad (for him).

Not only that... did you see the price for the sign... $55.00! That can buy several boxes of 0-0 shot, which I think is a much stronger deterrent!

    Thumbs down

IMO, some thug with nothing to lose (assuming he can read the sign) sees it, he knows that as soon as you leave, your home would probably be a great place to steal some "gats" to show off to his homeys. Oh, you keep them locked up in your safe while you're away? Oh well, he already broke in, might as well take your TV and anything else he can carry out while you're away.

No thanks on the sign. I don't want anybody except very close friends and family to know I even own any guns.

Nope NIMBY (Not In My Back Yard), but maybe in my anti-gun neighbor's yard
