As opposed to here where they have years of extra use because they leave them on. I followed a guy today that left his directional on for 6 miles, and it was still blinking when I turned.

Well, you have to be prepared! Doesn't the law read you should activate your turn signals at least 100 miles before your turn? Or was that feet?
Turn signals are not used in Florida at all...some old folks change four lanes at a time and never need a signal...

There are 4 hand signals
1.Left arm out the window, bent at the elbow, hand pointed up = Right turn
2. Left arm straight out the window = Left turn
3. Left arm out the window, hand pointed down = Stop
4. Left hand out the window, middle finger extended....... somebody didn't follow rules 1 thru 3.

Cars in ohio have a somewhat similar problem. Seems when they venture south of the ohio river(that ky. owns) their turn signals stop working.

In Los Angeles, they are sometimes confused with Acceleration Indicators. They seem to mean that someone is trying to get in front of you, therefor, you need to accelerate to close the gap.

They probably work. Just a little low on blinker fluid. Happens to the best of us. I actually saw someone USING hand signals just a few days ago... totally blew me away!
