A letter to all the clerks @ gun stores/pawnshops
I went to local gun store/pawnshop this afternoon. (now i know i'm not your typical gun aficionado. i'm an asian guy in his early 30's.) but pls. make sure you review your policy on customer service and please, please, DO NOT JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER. I had $1000 in cash (from my tax refund) ready to buy 2 guns. but this guy from the pawnshop would not give me 2 minutes of his time. when i asked him where the rugers are , he pointed them out and went inside his office. LOL! hope to see you @ the next gun show. that way i can tell your boss about your great customer service skills!!!
got to texas as fast as i could...Fuhgeddaboudit!

Well, if you're in Dallas do not go to Schramm's. You just described their service to a "T" and I didn't even fit a stereotype.
If you like to drive, go to Red River Firearms in Sherman Texas. A small shop with individual attention provided.

Even if they do have an ever so slightly better price (which they usually dont), I dont buy from the pawn shops around here. Never had a bad experience but none of them have ever been helpful. I have one or two gun shops which are great to me, so they get me business. Customer service goes a long ways..

Why bother? You probably won't be the first to tell them that....and I bet they change nothing about how they do (or don't do) business. Save your breath and time and just enjoy picking out a new gun.

Interesting, I have found this kind of attitude to be fairly common in so many gun shops I have been in. Can't figure it out.

I must be lucky, I have two really good gun shops very close to home. The service is really great in both. If you ever get to Delaware, check out Miller's Guns on Rt. 13 New Castle, DE or X-Ring off Rt. 273 in Newark, DE.

I am truly blessed then. The G shops by me are very good!
Mi-chi-gun in St. Clair Shores Mi. is great.
THS/Hock shop & sporting center in Port Huron Mi.Is great also
All are my favorite, but this last one is cool,
Bullets and Broadheads; Wadhams rd., Kimball Mi.
With a name like Mi-chi-gun, or Bullets and Boadheads, how can you go wrong?

you are so right snowman! who cares about a small guy spending $400 to $500 the most @ their store! that is why these forums are so great. it gets the word out even for just a little bit!you never know the guy from the pawnshop might be surfing here and maybe he realizes his mistakes and change!
