When I was that age, if my parents wanted an evening out with grown-up friends, they found a sitter, or dropped us off with Grandma.
And how grossly irresponsible is it to expect the waiter to double as baby sitter for her toddler while she's gulping mixed drinks?

Edit: And the boy's name, Jadm... reminds me of a "single mom" I dated once way back when who had a son named Cevin (pronounced Kevin) A real piece of work.
If I were the responding officer, I think I would have waited outside, let them crank the car, and then put them through a field sobriety test just for the heck of it. Who knows, might get lucky and get to arrest one of them.

The parents sound like they are on the low end of the gene pool. The kid is in for a rough ride - Good luck.

This seriously should have happened! I sure as heck would have done it. He was already there!

Some people's kids jeesh. Calling the cops was overboard and blaming the waiter was definetly overboard. That little sip probably just killed the cold he was about to catch anyway saving the parents in doctor bills. I bet he didn't stay up that night with the coughs. +1 on the cough medicine having more alcohol than the little sip he took.
