    Unhappy Off topic but not funny- The Truck IS ON FIRE!!!

    I was at a home today working on their computer when in runs a male screaming the truck is on fire. The woman who owns the computers says I don't know the number to the fire dept. I said call 911 as I'm heading for the door. My car was sitting about a foot in front of it. I can see the flames starting to lick the roof of the interior as I get in my car. So I park my car far away and pull out the digi cam. It took fire about 10 minutes to get on scene as it was a somewhat rural location and all Vol. Fire Dept. Below are the pictures and there are lots of them. The fire was started by a spark from a grinder. The truck was not insured for fire but it did run well. They where just doing some interior work. Sorry for the large pictures but small thumbs just do not work for these pictures.

    About 3 minutes after fire started.


    About 10 minutes and engine has arrived.


    They are still pulling hose line

    What is a grinder? I always wondered how car fires start.

    Incidentally, I keep a medium sized fire extinguisher in my trunk for the day that something like this happens to me. I also have one in my kitchen in case my food burns more than usual ;-)
