    Hail storm woke me up.

Here it is at 2 am and following a hail storm, I'm wide awake and on DC.

My wife is out of town, I was sound asleep and woke up from the loudest roaring hailstorm I've ever heard ! It was almost as if some sort of engine was running outside. Active lightning/rain/wind also.

No, I never heard "a freight train", but that hail hitting my house (regular framed/shingled construction 12:12 pitch) was LOUD.

Outside motion lights were turning on; I just replayed my security cameras and it looks like the hail storm lasted for nearly 20 minutes.

I'll look thoroughly tomorrow for damage, I'm sure I have some, particularly on the vehicles.

I'm thankful we're alright, but I sure don't need another project.

You guys are getting the mortal crap beat out of you down there. By now you've done your walk around. I hope it's not as bad as it could be sort of thing. Good luck.

The hail came out of the north, and my garage door faces north so it's dinged up pretty bad.

I have a copper awning I built over the back door and it's dinged up also.

I'm not sure on the cars right now, they had quite a bit of pollen stuck to them, you can clearly see where the hail hit and left clean spots. It's hard to evaluate them until I rinse the hoods off and look closer.

The shingles look fine. Pruned the leaves off of the trees pretty good, but otherwise that's all I've found so far.
