Question for IT guys
I have been looking for a lightweight PC or netbook. I had almost settled on an Acer Aspire one with the Intel Pinetrail platform. I have just come across a Toshiba T115. I feel like it is a lot better computer: Dual core processor, Better graphics, HDMI output, bigger HD and ability to handle 4 GB of memory. The main issue is battery life or I would keep my current Apple. It needs to be able to operate at all day on a charge, which would be 3-5 hrs for me. I would do the 4 GB memory upgrade.
What do yall think about this one? It seems the only trade off between it and the Acer is a little battery life and "N" wireless.

Remember battery life isn't always what they advertise. I have an Asus Eee 1000HE which advertises 9.5 hours battery life, but I get about 5.5 hours out of it.

Well, you can answer the question by finding out how much current the laptop draws while running off battery. My calculations show that the OEM unit is a 61 watt-hour pack. Find out the minimal draw of the laptop and do the math. Seeing that it has a 5600mAh Li-Ion battery and considering the diminished size of the screen as well as the few peripherals that the laptop features, its feasible that the battery would provide four to five hours of life. Nine hours is pure, unadulterated bull tho.
The unit has a history of good reviews at the Toshiba site. For four fifty give or take, I would buy it.
