    Police Academy Update

I went in front of the 3 person review board this past Wednesday and had to answer a few questions. It was really nerve racking but I just told the truth and didn't waiver when confronted about my answer. The very next day I received a letter in the mail accepting my application into the Police Academy. I will be starting on August 10th and the academy lasts 9 months. The adventure continues.

Congrats on this step.... it is a noble career, often with low pay and tough duties. Remember it's about justice, doing what's right, and protecting your family and ours by enforcing the law. Stay safe and keep a good attitude!

Congrats, and as Alchemist77 said, how it goes for you depends a lot on your attitude. Good luck, and stay safe.

    Congrats.
Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.

Thanks everyone. The job market is not good here for police officers but I am interning at a small department that only hires from their intern pool. I am planning on getting a full time job as a Journeyman Industrial Mechanic until the part time LEO position becomes full time.
