And no one here is kibbitzing about this???
I feel sorry for the suicides, and sorry for the range. But calling my mommy (who is dead and buried), or my ex-husband, or my boss (anti-gun) or a friend (who probably wouldn't know the state of my mind at the time anyway) - is not likely to help the situation.
My niece called my brother (her father) the same day she committed suicide -- and he couldn't tell anything was wrong.
A counselor told them (and it seems to be true) that once someone has made up their mind to do it, they're calm and controlled on the outside. You can't tell.
"I pledge allegiance to the war banner of the united states of Totalitaria. And to the Republic, which no longer stands, several bankers, who are now god, indivisible, with Bernanke bucks and credit for all."
It has happened here in Delray twice. Recently too.
If you're going to carry one weapon, might as well carry two, because as the saying goes, "Two is one, and one is none."
"Liberals can decline or whine, but I will still carry and conceal mine." - Cold Warrior. Excellent quote good sir!
this is only going to get worst. there is a palpable sense of desperation with people out there. 5 bucks for the gun rental + 15-20 bucks for ammo = bullet in the brain w/c is a high likelihood to end your problems one way or the other.
"embrace the suck" - our warriors in the sandbox... it implies that do the best you can in impossible conditions.
"no plan survives intact upon contact with the enemy" - wisdom of the Grunts.
