I'm in Indiana but I miss Tennessee

Well, I started the new job last Wednesday the 26th of May. It is a great place to work and I am really enjoying it. My first day I spent a few hours at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Stood on pit row, walked the yard of brick that is the finish line for the track. Was all over Gasoline Alley. So as first days go, this one was pretty cool.

I am missing my little town of Arlington Tennessee terribly though. I know I will adjust to where we are living here in Indiana but man, I am really home sick for Arlington. Who would have thought that a place I had only lived in for 4 1/2 years would have so grown on me.

Here trying to feel your pain, Mike. I have never lived anywhere but West Virginia and just can't comprehend living any place else. I'm sure that if it came down to moving and had to for whatever reason, I would. I do know that it would take time to adjust to new surroundings but with time, it will happen.

I know the feeling. I've moved away twice and ran back both times.

I'm in TN and pine for California - but this is my favorite site.

TN_, er, IN_Mike, you'll look back with fond memories of IN. Great people. Don't hold me to that concerning the weather.

Thanks guys. But I know one thing for sure, it all depends on the winter as to how long we live here in Indiana. If it kicks my butt or my wife's butt, then we will be South Bound again before the next one hits for sure.

I am still missing Tennessee pretty badly. Man I never would have imagined that the state would have become home so completely as it did after just 4 1/2 years. But I love it. I see me and the wife moving back there someday for sure.

But we are in Indiana for now. Nothing to do but accept it at this point.

Mike, you can always visit Southern Indiana, the farther south you go, the less teeth you will see!
