BP was in compliance with Federal safety codes, and had a chance to do a 'burn' (which was pre approved by NOAA) when this started. The environmentalists stopped it, The Federal Government made them drill in 5000 feet of water rather than 500, where a diver could have gone down and capped it the next day.

Why is BP the villain here?

Wherever the fuel has NO ETHANOL!!! That's usually a small, independent Phillips 66.

Same here, ethanol is fine on the rocks with a splash of water but if I am buying gasoline that is what I want.

I just filled up at a BP store to help the local owner and will continue to do so when the oportunity is there.
If you do not want to purchase from BP, I am sure there are other stations available that do not buy from the Middle East. Do a research in your area.
i wont buy from our local BP ever again....... and i hope they do go defunk...... local BP was galgin saying you got more gallons than you got and they were caught....

I really don’t care. When I had a car I would just go for whatever is cheapest. Now I take the subway and the busses. It is less of a hassle and is easier then owning a car.

I get whatever is cheapest. Depending on the product it is on par with even grocery stores. So I have no problem buying stuff inside the station either.
There is something about firing 4,200 thirty millimeter rounds/min that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

    I don't buy BP, Exxon/Mobil, or Citgo.

I prefer Enmark (10% ethanol), Murphy USA, and Raceway. Those are usually cheapest.
