And if the good guy takes cover behind a car door? Hell, he might as well be holed up in Fort Knox. Ironically, while guns are useless for exploding a gas tank, they'll punch through a car door with ease.
I love it when you watch a movie and someone is taking cover behind a typical house wall, or a flipped over table, door, or other flimsy object.
One of the most dangerous political philosophies afflicting America today is the belief that we canít allow anyone to suffer the natural consequences of their own stupidity.

The good news is the idiot thugs think that what they see in the movies is true!

While they hide behind a car door, we pump them full of lead.

When I was active duty LEO we carried a six shot revolver. Talk about being caught short. Then when it came reload time we didn't have any speed loaders, it was one at a time. Oh, the good ole days!

Those are the things that make every action movie a comedy.

Good link. The added youtube videos made the info much better.

Btw, I gotta get a fully-auto M4. Someday, if I'm ever in Iraq, I might just pick up a fully-auto AK for free.

What we have to remember is that's what Hollywood does with everything. It's their job to entertain, not challenge our viewpoints and ideals, while educating.

I disagree with one... The suppressors...AMMO AMMO AMMO is everything. I'd bet quite a bit on the fact that they wouldn't hear more than a whisper when I pop off my little .22lr suppressed. My neighbor has more than once mentioned how cool it is that his BB GUN is LOUDER than my .22! I hereby call BS on their fact finding and revoke their holier than thou privileges.

    Okay I have one issue...

I heard a 9mm Sig fired through a very exotic silencer once, and it was pretty darn quiet. It was a lot less than the claimed 120db they said, I would say it was probably closed to 60db. It was darn near a "thump" as the movies often depict. It sounded like if you were to clap your hands together.

But this was no "backyard" silencer, it was very high tech, and apparently is the silencer of choice used by government agencies.

In fact, the person who owned it, said that they now have digital silencers that can in fact practically make the gunshot a whisper.

Most will be in the 112-115 range..if subsonic ammo is used.

Government agencies use several different brands.

I have a .300 Whisper that is quieter than most suppressed rifles.
A "digital" silencer huh? I think your friend has been watching to much TV.
