Older video and a re-post, but still funny.
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.

And I do like my AR. Regardless the preference, we need to vote the antigunners out of Congress. Why take chances to compromise our gun rights.?

Buy when conservatives are in office and sell when liberals are in office. You can't go wrong.

I love my AR very much, my interest in AK is marginal. Maybe I should pick one up.

Don't get me wrong. AKs are extremely reliable under the worst conditions. But ARs are just what I have trained with most of the time. The controls are not that difficult to manipulate once you are familiar with it. Not only is it very pleasant and accurate to shoot, I also love its ergonomics. The AR is often criticized for its reliability but mine has not yet experienced any malfunction of any sort. Parts and ammo availability are a handful too. And, do buy extra parts for it in case the assault weapons ban takes effect again or when the parts wear out.

i bought my ar 3 years ago for $749+ tax. I should have bought an AK back then when it was $375. they are coming down so it's on my short list.

AKs are great, and ARs have their place as well, but Mosin Nagant beats them both.

I prefer my Winchester 30-30 lever action. I have an AK but I would grab a lever action first.

Parts, magazines and ammo availability for the AR are also easy to find, another reason that I forgot to address.
