Neat item. Range 31 miles at 65MPH using 5 gallons of fuel...that's not bad.
The word "recognized" was spelled "recognised" on their website.
I used their contact tab and let them know that I caught a spelling error and would they give me a free jet-pack  since I found a mistake on their web site.
I want one!
I like it certainly better than the Bell Jet Pac of the 1960s, it only gave you about 30 seconds of flight time.
Flying Contraptions - Look What's Coming
Wow thats the same sound I hear when my wife gets mad
Can you imagine the Tool Time episode, if Tim the tool man Taylor got one?
Not available at your local Harley dealer?
Mythbusters tried a similar ducted fan design and failed. But it was based on a specific design off the web that was too weak. The thrust/weight ratio is pretty lame on this (600/535) and the video only shows indoor, low-level flight. I'm willing to bet most of this flight is hovering in ground effect. If they tried for high altitude, I think this thing would falter. Not enough power to adjust for wind gusts, etc. Although they "estimate" a ceiling of 8,000 ft.
A ballistic chute is standard so you'd be OK. Maybe
How high does it go?
