Yeah your Monsoon season is a rough time to be there, but normally your humidity is in the 6% region, and that is very dangerous as you can severely dehydrate and never realize it until it is too late. Basically you sweat, keep cool, and never look or feel damp.
Been in the AZ desert multiple times in 111 degree heat and it felt like MI in the mid 80's.... in any event keep hydrated and be safe!!!

We aren't as bad as Phoenix, but we get pretty hot here in Vegas as well. While I don't care for the heat, the mild winters and lack of humidity more than makes up for the heat. I have severe arthritis and spinal stenosis in my lower back, and I have pain constantly. However, humidity makes the pain several orders of magnitude worse, so living in Vegas is actually a Godsend for me. My wife also has back problems, and she also appreciates the lack of humidity.

We were at 98 today and 100+ is expected tomorrow. This is the hottest year so far in Delaware history. We've been above 90 degrees for the largest part of a month, and only very short periods of rain.

Well I look at it this way. If it weren't for the heat, the snowbirds would never leave. On the up side, at least they have insurance.

Now what gets me is the feels like. Its 90 but feels like 95. No its 90 and feels like 90. Dont tell me how to feel. Thats how I make it through the heat and cold. There is no wind chill. Its either 30 or its 30 with the wind blowing...... /rant

Here in Las Vegas we are a little better, last i looked we were about 106. Its really not that bad until it gets to 115, after that its just brutal. Our AC runs constantly which always hurts when the the electric bill comes in.
This has really been a weird weather year. Normally in San Diego, we expect chronic marine layer overcast in May and June. So far in July, I haven't seen the sun unless I go inland. Hardly any shadows, no need for sunscreen, not even anything more than a slight breeze. It's been between 63 and 67 for the last couple of weeks. At night, maybe 4 degrees less. For lack of a better word, this is truly boring weather. Man I hate San Diego. (Yes, that was sarcasm.) Some things do suck here, just not the weather.
