I'm looking for something stronger than "No Trespassing."
In your area, would something like "Trespassers will be Shot," legal?
I'm not even sure if it's legal in Arkansas. Anyway, thanks.![]()

Haha second time in two days I've got to use this one.

Just get some of those BioHazard signs, or surround your property with "Crime Scene" tape.![]()
Just your typical no trespassing sign will do. If you put up one like you posted above, the BG is just going to know that you firearms at your home. So he will wait til you leave.

In the old Winnie the Pooh stories by A.A. Milne Pooh and Piglet sometimes came across a sign that simply said "TRESPASSERS WILL..."
Maybe some ambiguity might help.
In rural FL, I'd put out signs that say, "CAUTION: State Rattlesnake Nesting Area"![]()

I simply go with the "no tresspassing" sign. The dogs usually enforce the rules quite well(and there's none of the legal issues that come up with a "beware of dog" sign)
how about...

A simple "No Trespassing" or "Posted" sign or whatever your state specifies. The law may state the wording and manner of displaying required to "legally" post your property. Some state may not require anything, and that your property is presumed to be posted.
Any and all of those "will be shot" or other "humor" signs are generally ignored as chest-thumping displays.

This brings up a "quandary" in my life.
When we had a burglar alarm installed it came with two signs and posts to put out. I didn't. My theory is "Why warn them?" If the snallygastards know you have an alarm, they will just be more cautious....probably learn to defeat it. My wife thinks we should have posted the sagns to deter the criminal element.
What are your thoughts?????
If your neighbors have a sign, you need one also or the BGs will pick on you. If they don't have signs, you need one so the BGs will pick on them instead of you. Why would BGs take on a house with an alarm when the one next door appears unprotected? Answer - they won't.
We've had a small window sticker indicating a monitored system and haven't been hit in 35 years. My neighbors don't have signs and 2 of them have been hit in that time.
Nothing says "No Tresspassing" like a rump full of rock salt... Just sayin'
