Just goes to show you that the mark of a man is not the house he lives in.
NOT LIVING IN FEAR, JUST READY!!!

well said searcher. I think it is very sad that one of the first things that crossed my mind is he was probably a vet. It always gives me pause to think of why so many veterans are homeless.

What is, mental illness and PTSD, and a VA that couldn't give a **** less?

Agreed gentlemen. It's a very sad state of affairs when many, if not most, of our homeless are the very men who fought harder for this country than most people ever dream of doing.

He's more patriotic than half of the people running the country. Hats off.

And it's not anything new. The last 4 or 5 past presidents paid lip service, said it's a shame, and ...do nothing.

"...VA estimates that 107,000 veterans are homeless on any given night. Over the course of a year, approximately twice that many experience homelessness. Only eight percent of the general population can claim veteran status, but nearly one-fifth of the homeless population are veterans.
Roughly 56 percent of all homeless veterans are African American or Hispanic, despite only accounting for 12.8 percent and 15.4 percent of the U.S. population respectively"
