Real life auto accident that could happen to anyone driving down a highway

I'm posting this because the driver did nothing wrong other than being in the right place at the right time. This type of tragic event could happen to anyone. It happened in Taiwan.

Warning: It is a very graphic and some might find it disturbing to watch. I cannot imagine anyone surviving this horrific auto accident.

Once again, I'm only posting it to show how quickly things can happen when you are doing nothing but driving down the highway.

The background piano music is sort of strange to hear while watching the wreck.
Turn the election's in 2014 to a "2A Revolution". It will serve as a 1994 refresher not to "infringe" on our Second Amendment. We know who they are now.........SEND 'EM HOME. Our success in this will be proportional to how hard we work to make it happen.

I at first thought it was music that was added until the car bounced off the guardrail and the bus smashed into it.

When I heard the impact noise I knew it was not added.

While a tragic event, I have to disagree. He struck an object in the road which he had both time and room to avoid.

I had a similar thing happen to me once.

I was driving back home on I-95 in Georgia. I was following my parents in their car, and I was following a little too closely. My dad decided to swerve at the last minute to avoid hitting a blown truck tire on the road. As he did this at the last minute and I was following them closer than I should have and I ended up having to swerve quickly to miss the tire. I ended up turning the steering wheel to hard and overcompensated. that sent me into a spin across three lanes of traffic at approximately 75-80 mph. I overcompensated on the steering wheel so bad that I went 180 degrees in one direction, and then did a full 360 degrees in the other direction. luckily I was able to regain control of my car going the right direction down the interstate. I immediately pulled over to the side of interstate and sat there in shock at what had just happened. My parents had witnessed this too and pulled over right in front of me.

I was very lucky that day because there were a few factors that helped me come out of that potential disaster.

    1. The car I was driving was a '85 Nissan 300zx which was a sports car that is really low to the ground. My dad said that from what he saw he thought I was going to flip over.

    2. This occurred in a spot where we were very far ahead of the traffic that was behind us. If there were any cars behind me they would have hit me and I probably would be dead.

After this experience I now provide myself with plenty of room between the car in front of me.

After I had some time to regain some composure we pulled off the interstate and stopped at a restaurant to allow me to just get off the road for a while.

It is amazing just how fast accidents can happen. Back in 2001 I was headed west on I-40 in Oklahoma when I saw the headlights of a vehicle turn into the median up ahead of me, I thought it was a Trooper making a u-turn and thought nothing more of it until my windshield suddenly got dark then exploded. Turns out an eastbound S-10 went off the shoulder over corrected then slid through the median into the westbound lane. Luckily all I got was a face full of glass and the two people in the other vehicle got some scraps and bruises.

That's the main reason that I don't like to ride my motorcycle at night.

Definitely a rock or something solid. Lifted the rear of the car off the ground.

agreed. i hit a full tread (not a whole tire, just the tread) once in a geo prizm at about 60mph and it just folded under the car. barely felt it.
