    Just lost my job.

I just received a call from my boss letting me know that the company is over staffed and had to let someone go, and that person is me. He seemed remorseful, but that doesn't pay the bills, as we all well know. The bad part is I was just barely scraping by with the job, I never went out, only ate a work when I was allowed, heck I haven't even been shooting since I was hired on there. Needless to say, I don't have any money saved up because of this.

I have an interview on Wednesday. Hopefully I will get the job, or I'll be hard up to pay the bills, and may get evicted.

Best of luck, man, hope it works out for you. What is your trade, by the way?

It happens. It happened to me back in those "wonderful" Reagan years due to corporate downsizing. The thing is, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise for me as I was able to move on to better things. I hope you do too my friend. No doubt it seems pretty bleak right now. Don't give up.

I've been a cook for 5 years, but this last job I was a pizza delivery driver. I plan on graduating community college in the spring of 2011, then joining the Coast Guard. Thanks for the luck, I've been saving up on it for a time like this.

At least he didn't e-mail or send him a text message.

Ouch. Am sending some good thoughts your way. Until your interview, just try to stay positive. You know your own worth--let that come through on Wednesday!

Hey you'll get through it Shackleton! Think positive and remember that some day you will look back and ask yourself, "Remember when I was bummed............" Better things are ahead of you. You just can't see them yet.

Once again, thank you guys so much for the support!
I am impatiently awaiting my interview and I got a job offer from Shell to be a clerk. I'd rather not, but a job is a job. It's good to know that businesses want to hire me though!
