MEXICO CITY -- Guards and officials at a prison in northern Mexico allegedly let inmates out, lent them guns and sent them off in official vehicles to carry out drug-related killings, including the massacre of 17 people last week, prosecutors said Sunday.

I saw this yesterday in NYTimes. What a joke, and not a funny one, you know.
There was also an interview with ex-Pres. Fox. He seems to blame the US for all their problems. B.S. it's not our fault they have such a bad economy. It's there corruption and unwillingness to deal with it. They have massive amount of raw resources.

And the Mexican's are busy filing lawsuits against Arizona regarding their new law on illegals. They should just be thankful we aren't shooting them on sight and take care of their own country.

Woudn't surprise me if this were absolutely true. When hundreds of billions of dollars' worth of business is at stake, any number of people are going to be corrupted away from their less-than-reasonable state pay. Pay off a handful of the key jailers at a facility, then poof!, get the job done and be sure you're back in by sunrise. All of this, and far more, is reason enough to have one penalty for the conviction of such people: quick execution. Same for folks caught corrupting a state role for bribes from them, as well. Otherwise, it'll just keep going and going and going.

This is what their government is doing and yet all their problems are our fault? Yep that makes sense. I will never voluntarily go to mexico, their government has absolutely no control and they ignore their problems and blame them on everyone else. Its scary that this stuff is happening so close to home and yet even the people in our country want to deny it and down play it.
    Aboslutely ridiculous.

Kind of makes you wonder if our government is corrupt, too?

You think that's bad, the US side of the border has the same mentality as their corrupt cousins on the other side,we got an Illegal problem in Tx too, they just don't look as hard for them until they try to get past the checkpoints about 60 miles north of the border

Yes, the link was for the correct story yesterday. Which is weird, because usually a link will stay with the original story.

Seems like a pretty innovative work release program.
