Avoid caffeine Thursday, a little in the AM is probably OK. I sure wish I'd have known that before I had all my teeth pulled, it was kind of a nightmare.

Small world, I'm going to let you lead the way. This must be "Make a Dental Boat Payment Week". Friday at 2 P.M., I'm also having one pulled and another already pulled drilled for the post (to be capped later), and my Hydrocodone is sitting on the shelf.

MoMike, you live here in Missouri,... havin' your teeth pulled means you've finally reached puberty.

I'm officially more scared of the dentist than ever.

My mom suddenly started talking funny and slurring words, and I was thinking "oh crap, a stroke??" then I found out that she had been to the dentist - they numbed her jaw up, and now she can't talk straight. It's been over a month now and she's still talking odd!! Reason number 5 thousand and some odd for me not to go to the dentist....

My wife was losing teeth for years secondary to her diabetes. Finally had the rest (14) done at the same time to get dentures. Yes it is going to hurt, but won't be as bad as you imagine. Definitely tell the dentist that you have a low tolerance for pain, that way you can get the most meds possible. You can always flush what you don't need.

Had the impressions made on Monday. Ever tried having your mouth filled with caulk? They are supposed to have the dentures ready for me tomorrow. I've had teeth pulled, but never 20 at once.

Hey, Mike, I hope it works out for you.

Here's hoping you have good drugs, good insurance, and good-looking... I mean, a skillful dentist and assistants.

Ok I'm young(ish) and my dentist always tells me I'm blessed with great teeth so I haven't lost any teeth other than my wisdoms. I'm curious what makes you lose all of your teeth. The reason I ask is that my wife has soft teeth and has tons of bridges and crowns even though she brushes and flosses twice as much as I do. Is it all just genetics and luck of the draw or is there other factors (other than hygene) that cause teeth to wear out? Anybody know? Usage? Disease? I know in the old days there were diseases that would make your teeth fall out but does it still happen today?
It is surely true that you can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink. Nor can you make them grateful for your efforts.
