I have one somewhat similar. That are not bad. The tubing rots with time, but replacements are easy to find. Sometimes you can find surgical tubing in a drug store to make replacements.
I too have a similar one. It's more then a little bit of fun. Most major stores (walmart) have replacement rubbers.
We used to cut rubber from inner tubes to make the rubber section, and it worked great.
I've always wanted to try one of those. I used to be pretty good with one at 30 yrds or under.
I won a bet that I could hit a Sgt in the rearend at about 35 yrds as he was bending over. I won the bet, but was pealing lots of potatoes for awhile. But, I won the bet.

The Wham-O Wrist Rocket had one about 50 years ago -- still have one (not the same one).

The "news media" has ceased being the watch dog of the people and has become the apologist for an irresponsible government.

What, did the Top Shot episode bring out some memories?

Did I hear right that that old boy hit 1500 consecutive ariel targets.

Marbles. Knocks a squirrel right out of the tree tops. At Eielson AFB in AK, I knew a few Jet engine mechanics that used to pop feeding Canadian geese with worn ball bearings. Dropped them as well as a shotgun (and a lot quieter).

Got me wanting one again too. lol
Had one of these back in the 50's. Threw away the wire thingy that was used to shoot arrows. It was just as powerful as the new type wrist rockets but you had to have a strong wrist to hold it on target at full draw. Marbles against a concrete wall turned into puffs of smoke.
Lots of fun for $1.50. LOL

I prefer the type without the wrist brace thingy. The brace forces you to hold the slingshot at a weird angle that makes accurate shooting extremely difficult. I have one of these. http://www.marksman.com/3040_slings.php I bought it probably 15 years ago, out of nostalgia. I had one when I was a kid and had tons of fun with it. I remembered the difficulty I had with my original, so I cut the brace off with my Dremel as soon as I got it home. Huge improvement. Marksman now offers a couple models without the brace. http://www.marksman.com/3027_slings.php http://www.marksman.com/3030_slings.php
Dollar stores are a great source for cheap ammo. Bag o' marbles for a buck.
