Post This is just weird: Man playing poker to avoid prison

I myself love to play poker but knowing you are playing to stay out of jail has to add a lot more stress to the game. If he can re-pay the money, that is awesome but I doubt he will be able to stay on a winning streak long enough to avoid jail. There are just way to many highs and lows that go along with playing the game.

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (WABC) -- An Albuquerque stockbroker who confessed to stealing from clients to support a gambling habit is being dealt an unusual hand.

Prosecutors are letting him play poker for his freedom.

I'm just one root in a grassroots organization. No one should assume that I speak for the VCDL.

I am neither an attorney-at-law nor I do play one on television or on the internet. No one should assumes my opinion is legal advice.

Here's yet another reason to have excellent credit.

A straight flush or royal flush beats four of any kind.

At least there's a "chance" for the victims to get their money back as opposed to the guy going straight to jail.
