Cats can be some highly inteligent protectors. My wife and I have 7 cats and if you can read their body language you can learn alot. One night one of our cats kept running back and forth from the family room window to the front door and back. We looked out the window to find a skunk in our neighbors yard against the their house. Cats act differently when there are potential threats close by. BTW while I don't necessarily hate snakes but I don't like them either.
Expect that same scenario to happen again. Remember...there is no such thing as ONE mouse.

Damn you anti-cat people are harsh...lol..... We have 5 cats, and I only hate maybe 2-3 of them...... lol.... But as my avatar might give away, we have one really cool "fatcat" ....

I think people give cats a bad wrap in general. I think it's just a stereotype. My cats are awesome and very loving. I could not ask for better pets.I don't hate cats. It's just that 99% of them give the rest a bad name.

Too right sir!It was about 0530 and my wife was downstairs getting ready for the day (she leaves earlier then I do). She was in the kitchen and I was still in bed. Well next thing I hear is her screaming, so I immediately jumped out of bed, half awake with my Glock in hand. I ran down the stairs to see her running out of the kitchen freaking out.
Obviously I'm thinking it's go time and someone was in the house. Well that wasn't the case... The cats had caught a mouse that got in somehow and were batting it around the dining room and my wife freaked. Eventually they killed it and I had to get a paper towel to dispose of it... Why wives freak out about mice, frogs and other little critters is beyond me...
Nothing gets your blood pumping like a screaming wife downstairs at 0530... I'm glad the cats had the situation under control.
