    Looking for British Enfield Info

    I have a British Enfield and I am trying to find somewhere I can get info on this rifle and how to verify the year. Any help anyone can provide would great.

    Chris thanks for the link, I'll take a look there and see what I can find. I've been having a hard time trying to find out what year this one is and I've been told it may be an Enfield sniper but would like to verify this info.

    Great rifles, I have a number 4. scoped and sporterized with a synthetic stock, serial numbers on the rifle, bolt, and mag all match. My only dislike is the mile long trigger pull. Just the relaoding info I was just about to start looking for.

    Ahh well - in a sense yes but ........ when I ''teethed'' on MkIV's back in early 60's this was what I so liked and still do.

    The Enfield two stage trigger was always for me a bonus - 1st pressure, pause - settle on 2nd pressure and release smoothly - not tho I guess to everyone's taste, in particular if used to Mauser actions.
