Security screwed up. They knew they had multiple people taping and supporting this guy. They are lucky they didn't have a riot and several beat up security officers. They should have called the police or continued to talk the guy into submission. There was absolutely no reason for taking him down. I looked at the security company's website. They think they are the best thing since sliced bread. From what I saw (and I used to do that line of work) they were very poor representatives of their company and security officers in general. Their uniforms didn't match and looked incredibly stupid, and what's with the white tennis shoes?

I find it funny that a 'state fair' is privately run and on private property. Same thing here in VA. They shouldn't be allowed to call it a state fair unless it is run by the state and on public property

Agreed Security screwed up,but he didn't help his cause any by all the yelling and temper tantrums...

    edit:
agreed on the potential for the security guards to not make it out alive...good grief. Looks like the state trooper showing up was about the only thing that kept those two from becoming permanent landmarks.

UPDATE: Fair marketing director Dean Phipps says the fair has an unwritten policy against people campaigning in common areas of the fairgrounds.

If people want to deliver a political message -- on abortion or Pebble Mine, for example -- they're expected to rent a booth and follow vendor guidelines, he said.

As for the security guards? Did they go too far?

Phipps defended the use of force seen in the clip.

“The initial attempt was to educate him and let him know what the rules were, and he became belligerent. They felt that they were assaulted ... and then responded to that.”

Typical LaRouche crazy. They asked him nicely. What happened afterward was his choice.
