    Seriously, I think it looks like a fruit, what you call a nut is a pit. Looks a lot like a baby pear, but if this is new then the time is off.

    Right, definitely wrong time of year for it to have pear of this size (premature) on it. Don't think it is pear.

    Not a fig tree. May be some type of grafted fruit tree that has reverted. I would not eat it, give it to Mikey.

    It looks very much like a Common Persimmon.
