He loves Canada. Government run health care and restrictive gun law. He wants our country to be more like yours.

Moore, who has produced several acclaimed documentaries,
Ah yes Joseph Goebbels would have been proud to have written such acclaimed documentaries.

Well, so much for the hope of him being violated by a moose in heat while he was up there...

My Grandfather was a Conscientious Objector in WWI, that didn't stop from being a Stretcher-bearer in the trenches, one of the more hazardous trades as he would go into no-man’s land to fetch injured soldiers. I am proud of him and the way he carried out his beliefs.

I can sympathize with a US soldier that objects over the Stop loss program, but at the end of the day no one forced them to sign up for something that demands unlimited liability.

I'm with Moore on this. Let Canada have all the cowards, traitors, illegals, socialists, etc. Then we can start rebuilding the real America.

No kidding. If these guys were demanding retraining as medics because they didn't want to kill in what they consider an unjust war, I could respect them (though not as much as I would conscripted soldiers), but to refuse to deploy period?

Moore is of the age (more or less) to have been called up, isn't he? I wonder what he did during that time. Does anyone here know?

Nuts. Everything that I want to say about this would get me an infraction.... Let's just say that I don't like the guy.

As far as I am concerned, if you volunteer into the armed services, you shouldn't be able to complain about anything you are ordered to do, unless there is a list of options in a contract that you stipulate to upon entry, or it's flat out illegal.

Conscripts who refuse upon entry should be assigned to non combat roles, preferably out of military service, but if they don't object upon entry, unless it's illegal, too bad.
