Will you watch the new series tonight @ CBS?
Yeah I loved that show when i was a young'n around the sixth grade. At the roller skating rink when they played the Hawaii Five-O theme... if you didn't know how to skate, you better get the heck out of the way or get run over! Very fast tempo and beat songs like that always got me in trouble with the floor guards for going to fast lol.
I'll check it out tonight.
Book 'em Danno!

When I went to Hawaii. the driver of the van that picked us up at the airport pointed out the building that the guy was standing on top of in the opening scene of the show. That and the harbor where the SS Minnow left from for a three hour tour.
Don't believe what you hear and only half of what you see!

I probably won't watch. Too many newfangled guns.
I plan on watching it but I don't like the idea of killing off the original McGarrett and having his son be the new star of the show. Should have just been an updated version.

I used to be a fan. Just like the Rockford Files and Beretta, Barnaby Jones, and whatever that show was that Angie Dickinson was a part of cause she was hot back in the day. Starsky and Hutch......etc. Television isn't really one of my priorities now. Hawaii five-o isn't making a comeback with me. I'll take CSI Las Vegas, Bones, and Rizzoli and Isles
I have to say the old intro was much better IMO
Uhh It was OK
I'll DVR other episodes and see how it goes as they conflict with "Pawn Stars" lol
I certainly was a fan of the original. Like Ram Rod, I kind of was a "cop show" junkie. All those old ones including Mike Conners in Mannix. In the 80's I was a Magnum P.I. fan as well. I still like cop shows except I just can't get into CSI. Too farcical for me.
I watched the pilot of the new Five-0 tonight and it was pretty good. I liked it better than the pilot for "The Event" which was on just before it on a different channel.
While "The Event" was pretty intense and well done, if they keep you too much in the dark throughout the entire season like on "Fringe" I'll probably lose interest soon. At least with "24" you knew the plot and the story line early on. They kept you coming back with great suspense but at least you knew what the plot was all along. "The Event" had you all over the place and constantly trying to keep up. It was good, but the new "Hawaii Five-O" was a welcome relief after that.
I'll give them both a shot but not sure how they will keep my interest yet. I'm looking forward to Tom Selleck's new series where he plays a NYPD cop. I only saw one preview of it Sunday during the football game so I didn't even catch the name of it or when it's going to be on. Anyone out there know that information, please let me know.

Will have to watch a few more episodes before forming an opinion, at least instead of guns never running on empty I did see McGarret swap magazines three times.
When you have to shoot, shoot. Don't talk.

One complaint is all the cast members are young. In the original 5-0 Steve and Chin-Ho were somewhat older and wiser. And my goodness the new Kono is such a stretch!
Not that I'm complaining but jeez couldn't she just be the real Kono's granddaughter!

Watched it but it just seemed weak. Will give it one more shot but not holding my breath on this one.
The only bad thing about the original series was anti-gunner Jack Lord always spouting off. I'll always remember that beautiful girl in the opening credits, thanks for posting her picture.
